Youngwilders is a new organisation working to tackle two core issues.

The first is that the UK’s ecological health is in the bottom 10% on earth. And the second is that young people are often excluded from getting involved in environmental action - over 80% of UK young people are eager to take action to help the environment but only 1 in 5 believe they are being listened to on environmental issues.

Through small-scale, youth-led nature recovery projects across the UK, Youngwilders is working to accelerate the rewilding of the UK, while involving young people in the movement.

Youngwilders currently have eight active rewilding projects across the UK. These projects vary in scale, form and degree of involvement, but they are united by a commitment to maximising nature recovery and youth involvement. Alongside the rewilding projects, Youngwilders also deliver rewilding workshops, an annual Youth Rewilding Summit, and a rewilding magazine aimed at young people.

Treebeard is providing multi-year unrestricted funding to Youngwilders.
